Key Thought: I’m invited to know God better.

I. Observations from two luncheon invitations

   A. ______________: The party crasher at Simon’s (Luke 7:36-40)

       1. The woman used her most valuable possession to worship her

           most valuable Person. (Luke 7:37)

       2. The woman’s tears were the sign of her turning. (Luke 7:38)

       3. Simon judged Jesus and the woman incorrectly. (Luke 7:39)  

       4. Jesus offered Simon a deeper truth. (Luke 7:41-43) 

*The woman enjoyed Jesus’ rest while Simon considered if rest was 

 best. (Matthew 11:28)

   B. ________________: The party foul at the Pharisee’s (Luke 14:1-4)

       1. Jesus accepts the religious’ outcasts. (Luke 14:13-14)

       2. Jesus tells his servants to invite outcasts. (Luke 14:23-24)

 

Take Away:
Jesus is our Bread of Life, so evangelism is one beggar telling another where to find Bread.
